Vs Tuesday: Two Bands? One Song? Who Wins? Fight! “Alison Hell” by Annihilator

Probably Canadian Thrashers Annihilator‘s most well known song is “Alison Hell”. From their 1989 album “Alice In Hell”, selling over 1.25m copies for Roadrunner Records. It’s a song known as much for it’s dark lyrics as Jeff Waters guitar work. In the red corner we have Cradle of Filth, who recorded their song for their current and critically acclaimed album “Cryptoriana: The Seductiveness of Decay”. Cradle frontman Dani Filth has been vocal about Jeff Waters influence on their career.

In the blue corner Slovenian Thrashers Midnight Scream, the band that won the annual “Battle for Wacken” event in 2013. The band put their version out last year to announce a lineup change. Who wins? You decide.
