In the Red corner we have the soon to be calling it a day titans of Metal that are Slayer with “Spirit In Black”…

…and in the Blue corner? Having recently released new album “Gravity”, we have Bullet For My Valentine with “Waking The Demon” from “Scream Aim Fire”.

You’d never really think of the two bands in the same breath and they’re not in the same league but compare the guitar work from the 1990 song from the classic “Seasons In The Abyss” (parodied by S.O.D. with “Seasoning The Obese”) with the later one and you may notice some shocking similarities. Influenced? Without a doubt.
