NEWS: Slomatics escape Strontium Fields?

Depending on which angle you look upon it from, Irish Doom band Slomatics will release what could be their ninth album “Strontium Fields” on 8th September via Black Bow Records. We say that because of the bands love of a split record, Agents Of The Morai, Conan, Holly Hunt, Mammoth Weed Wizard Bastard, Yanomamö to name but a few having done business with them over the better part of two decades of monolithic riff worship. The band are offering up a first single “I, Neanderthal” from their new commitment to tape with those all important pre-orders available over at bandcamp.

The band comments: “Strontium Fields is, for us, a post pandemic reflection – full of the joy of life, filtered through a wall of amps, fuzz boxes and ancient synthesisers. We’ve kept busy releasing music through the lockdowns but are especially excited to release a full length album again, one on which we hope we have captured and developed every area of our sound. This album feels like both a consolidation and a leap forward, with more melody, experimentation and riffs than ever before“
