NEWS: Wyrmhaven worship at the altar?

Currently in the process of writing an album, Tuscon Arizona Melodic Death Metal band Wyrmhaven have chosen to unveil a new single in “Midnight Altar” ahead of their appearance at this year’s incarnation of AZ Desert DeathFest. Recorded with Ryan Bram at Homewrecker Studios (Gatecreeper, Spirit Adrift, Creeping Death), mixed by Dave Kamisnky (Fires in the Distance, Nicolas Cage Fighter, Stone Healer) and mastered by Ryan Williams (The Black Dahlia Murder, Metal Blade Records) and follows “Sacred Grove” out of the gate…

The band comment: “Midnight Altar was written in the weeks following the passing of vocalist Steve Naemark”s father. The lyrics capture the vulnerability he felt while holding his father’s hand in his final moments. The song is about the final stage of grief: acceptance. The lyrics are a reminder to focus on the time they spent together, instead of dwelling on the time they cannot.”
