NEWS: Mantar announce “Post Apocalyptic Depression” for Valentines Day!
Hamburg Germany natives Mantar caught our attention for offering up blackened melodies, deafening feedback and Doom mayhem as a five piece with no bass guitar in their setup. Now they return with “Halsgericht“, a track which the band describe as meaning “…something like ‘the right to impose extra heavy punishment“. It’s the first from a new twelve track album called “Post Apocalyptic Depression” that is three months way. Pre-orders for the 14th February 2025 release via Metal Blade Records are available over at bandcamp.
Guitarist and vocalist Hanno Klänhardt: “We wanted to do everything different from the last album. The last album was very produced. A huge sounding record with clean production. Display of power. That was what we wanted and felt at that time. Now we are trying to destroy what we’ve built up with the last album. There is a certain beauty in disappointing people’s expectations.”
