NEWS: Ashen Horde float in “Entropy and Ecstasy”!
A fifth full length album and first to feature new vocalist Karl Chamberlain (Putrefier, Alcyone, Necrotic Remains) titled “The Harvest” from Los Angeles Extreme Metal outfit Ashen Horde has been pencilled in for a 1st May release. The first look at that is “Entropy and Ecstasy”, the record having been mixed by Ricardo Borges and mastered by Tony Lindgren (Dyscordia, Leprous, The Halo Effect) at Fascination Street Studios.
While the outfit was originally founded as a solo project by guitarist and primary songwriter Trevor Portz, they will be playing their first live shows in May, the line up completed by Australian based drummer Robin Stone (The Amenta, Convulsing).
Guitarist Trevor Portz recalls being floored by Chamberlain’s audition: “I sent him a demo of ‘Entropy and Ecstasy’ with unfinished lyrics, and he sent back his take. His vocals on the line ‘how can we thrive if we expect to survive?’ still give me chills.”
