NEWS: Mosara unveil previously unreleased 2005 demo!
Twenty long years after it was recorded and mixed, Phoenix, Arizona’s Atavistic and Depressing Sludge fuelled Doom Metal trio Mosara have shared a three track unreleased 2005 demo. A lyric video for “Black Rhino” from those sessions has unveiled to tempt you into a purchase over at bandcamp. The timing is something of a curiousity as Remorseless Records will be distributing the outfits new album “Rumour of a Funeral” on 11th July.
Vocalist and guitarist Tony Gallegos comments: “I sat on this demo for so long anticipating the right moment to release it. I also wrestled with the fact that it would never be released. It’s a great demo, though. I believe it has stood the test of time. There were 4-5 songs recorded during that period with only Black Rhino and Goddess of Stone available from the archives. Disposed was recorded at that time, but the only release was (and is) on YouTube, which to this day has racked up 19k+ views since its release in 2006. The last song on the demo was our first ever recording done at the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences (CRAS) by an ambitious and genius student by the name of Shelley Brown, along with Ronnie Faye and Sam Carroll. The song was written approximately a week prior, and the lyrics were written the day before. This song was also recorded live on a stage in February of 2005. It came across as our meatiest and heaviest song at that time and I’m extremely proud of how it came together on both sides.”
