NEWS: Dakesis prepare for live stream “Fractures” show on 2nd August!

Dakesis will be performing their latest album “Fractures”  in full, live-on-stage in a free Facebook Livestream at 19:30 on 2nd Sunday August 2020. The album was released on 28th March via CapsaArx Records and features the singles “Surrender Your Fears” and “Overthrown” but has yet to see any shows as the launch came to juddering halt with lockdown. The band will be joined by touring keyboard player Jacob Underwood and will stream the performance live from CapsaArx Studios with a paypal donation link for anyone that wishes to contribute. Here’s a link to the event.

Vocalist Gemma says “This is such an unprecedented time for everyone, and musicians and artists especially have struggled to find ways to continue their work and connect with their fanbase throughout the lockdown. We knew that we wanted to put something out as close to our original plans as possible – costumes, lighting, staging, the lot. We have our own performance space inside our studio, so we’ve been quietly at work putting things together, and we finally think we can offer our fans the show they deserve.

Bassist and manager Amie adds “It’s been a difficult few months for us all. Postponing the “Fractures” album launch show was heartbreaking after four years of hard work went into the creation of the album. We all work in the music industry too so things have been very uncertain for us, but we’ve been keen to get back to doing what we love the most and that’s performing our music together for others. Although we can’t currently perform in venues in front of a live audience, the official Fractures album launch will go ahead once it’s safe to do so, but for now a live stream performance of the album is the closest we can get to sharing this with the world.
