NEWS: Meurtrières don the chain mail for “Ronde De Nuit”!

Gates of Hell Records have announced that on 25th August they will be distributing “Ronde De Nuit” by Meurtrières, a female fronted Old School Metal act hailing from France who specialise in Medieval folklore. Adorned by artwork from Ivan Brun their debut album, the follow up to 2020’s self titled EP has been preceded by single “Rubicon“.

The lyrical narrative of “Ronde de Nuit” is said to have more emphasis on paintings like “The Night Watch” by Rembrandt or “Füssli” by Johann Heinrich, the band aiming to make the songs “pictorial” as they reflect on imaginary portraits to draw in the listener. The exception to that rule is “Aucun Homme, Aucun Dogme, Aucune Croix”, a well known French medieval legend about a real woman. Pre-orders are available over at bandcamp.
