NEWS: Saltwound premier “Shadows Remain”!
Northern California Deathcore five piece Saltwound have unleashed a new EP titled “In the Shadow of the Valley of Death” via Good Fight Music as they (spin) kick off a run of shows with Inferious and MouthBreather that will take them from Augusta to Brooklyn. Produced, mixed and mastered by Josh Bearden at Nevermore Recordings (Distiguisher, Ov Sulfur), it comprised three tracks of violent turbulence with lyrics serving as an emotional catharsis through loss and furtherance. From that they’ve cut out “Shadows Remain” for a music video, premiered by BVTV. Consider yourselves warned.
Diving into the lyrics of the song, vocalsit Spencer Timmons states: “Shadows Remain was written about an old best friend and band-mate of mine who sadly passed away last year in a drunk driving accident. The song touches not only on the depression that comes with losing someone you had so many memories and shared life experiences with, but also talks about the bitterness of losing someone you were close to once that you had grown apart from and the regret of not mending those fences while they were still here.”
