NEWS: Katholik enter an altered state…

Blackened Technical Death Metal act Katholik have announced that 3rd November will see the arrival of their sophomore album “Entropic Evolution” via Japanese Extreme Metal label Amputated Vein Records. Preceded by “Altered State“, the album was recorded at Mayhemness Studio (New Frontiers, Obliviated, Reminitions) by Robert Velasquez Swanson before being mixed and mastered at Sharkbite Studio (Exodus, Machine Head, High On Fire). Pre-orders are available over at bandcamp.

The band comment: “We are based in Sacramento, California, We released a demo in 2020 and sat back as the world collapsed around us. We decided not to promote the album as we felt scummy asking for money at a time when so many lost their source of income was wrong. We continued to write and practice as the studios were empty and unbelievably clean for once. Once shows opened up, we have been strategically attacking them. We have all played in touring bands and signed bands such as Psychosomatic, Wurm Flesh, Wastewalker, and Arkaik”
