NEWS: Primal Creation defend their territory!
Returning to the tried, tested and true Belgian Thrash Gods Primal Creation have unleashed a beast of a new single in “Not In My Backyard”. Recorded and mixed by Francis Snebbout (Devastatiön, Old Ivy, Sky In Motion) at Oakwood Recording Studio and mixed by Alan Douches (Gatecreeper, Converge, Devildriver) at West West Side Music in New York, the pairing that were at the helm for their well received 2021 album “News Feed” have worked their magic once more. The brand new track is of course accompanied by a music video, this time shot and edited by Yarne Heylen (Carnation, Sisters Of Suffocation, When Plagues Collide) at Project Zero Studio.
Bassplayer Ewoud comments: “This song feels like another step forward in our development as a band. We really found a good flow as a band while writing and it shows. I’m psyched to bring this banger to the stage!”
Frontman Koen adds: “drawing from the themes of our previous releases, Not In My Backyard really is about the human condition. It’s an observation of today’s society, where lack of long term visions and minimal effort seem to be the norm. Musically we put the riffs on the forefront, but there’s also some changes in tempo and a tasty solo by Ruben. All the while invoking moshpit frenzy, not holding back on the focused aggression. Last but not least, I feel that the artwork and the video really complement the atmosphere, sound and theme of the song!”
