NEWS: 1st Wave of Bands for Reading Rising in November!

What could be better than 12 bands, 2 stages and 0 clashes? How about 16 bands, 2 stages, 2 days and 0 clashes? That’s right. Alternative Rock and Metal will be returning to The Facebar as Reading Rising Festival will take place in expanded form over the weekend of Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd November 2024. What does that look like? 4 bands on the Friday night followed by 12 bands on the Saturday. Here’s the line up so far…

Saturday

Lake Malice (headliner)
Confessions Of A Traitor
Shoot To Kill

Friday

Marisa And The Moths (headliner)

Returning for a fifth year with what looks to be an even more varied line up that ever before means Reading Rising will be the hottest ticket in town in November. So who have we got?  London Metalcore heroes Confessions Of A Traitor have now completed not one but two US tour runs and dropped a belter of an single in “Hail Mary“. We’ve had the pleasure of witnessing Brighton duo Lake Malice a couple of times and the Kerrang! Magazine endorsed group be headlining the Saturday as they bring a European tour to a close.

The Friday night headliners were the first to be announced and for Marisa and the Moths, Reading Rising will be a home town throwdown. They’ll be bringing a collection of Grunge fuelled Alternative Rock songs from their sophomore album “What Doesn’t Kill You“, a record that has taken them to the next level. That just leaves Metallic Hardcore mercinaries Shoot To Kill who first slapped us in the face at Rabidfest in 2021. Since then they’ve been on the rise with a string of fierce singles including “Beautiful End To A Horrible Tale” which features Dylan Alves of Harbinger fame.
