NEWS: The Spirit set to battle Humanity!

Perhaps inspired by the hilarious “Cards Against Humanity” game (or not), revered German Blackened Death battalion The Spirit have announced their fourth album “Songs Against Humanity” will arrive on 25th October via AOP Records with first single “Spectres of Terror“. Following the critically acclaimed “Of Clarity and Galactic Structures” which offers Black and Death Metal roots with Progressive elements and brain twisting rhythm changes in virtuosic instrumental performances, this next chapter has much promise. Curiously while the band has officially been a two piece since 2019 they are rounded out by former Obscura bassist Linus Klausenitzer and The Circle guitarist Stanley Robertson in the live arena.

Commenting on the song guitarist/vocalist Matthias Trautes says: “It’s the first time, that we had trouble to decide what song we want to release first, because they are all so strong. We ended up with “Spectres of Terror”. A fast track that will most likely become a real banger at future live shows.
