NEWS: VHS unchain Django!

After tackling sword and sorcery with last years “Quest For The Mighty Riff“, Canadian Movie inspired Death Metal trio VHS return with a surprise ode to classic spaghetti westerns titled “For a Few Riffs More“. Using the soundtracks to those films as the raw building blocks, all of those hallmarks in twangy guitars, harmonica and classical instrumentation are found within 10 fresh cuts combined with trademark Death Metal vocals as “Django” demonstrates. Main songwriter Mike Hochins has this to say about the album “Anytime we are trying to do something different it usually starts off as a challenge and before we know it we have an entire album written in whatever weird style we try to tackle. In this case I had the entire album written and thought to myself there is no way that vocals will work on this but let’s try it anyway! For some reason it did work so now we have an amalgamation of spaghetti western sensibilities and gross death metal vocals.”
