Throwback: “In Fear” from Sinisfear!

“Did you hear about the cannibal who passed his cousin in the woods?”

30th March 2024 saw the 10th anniversary of the debut album “Reigning Death” from Sinisfear, a quartet hailing from the northern cold of Toronto Ontario, Canada. Inspired by 90’s North American Death Metal (and of course “Reign In Blood” by Slayer) and armed with a cover of “The Trooper” by Iron Maiden, the band wasted no time in starting a number of small fires (because lets face it, arsonists get all the girls). Hearing the potential in seven fierce cuts delivered at breakneck speed, we wanted more than the 24 minutes and 46 seconds they had to offer. But life and drummer Marc Hamilton’s commitments to Anthropophagy seemed to get in the way… until now. They don’t call it the summer of love for no good reason and so “Arise Legion“, an album of seven fresh cuts for seven deadly sins is upon us. Before you sink your teeth into either of those records, here’s the music video for our personal favourite of theirs “In Fear“.
