NEWS: Whispers announce “Yom-Ma-Lok” with “Retribution”!
Soon to arrive in the United Kingdom for Manchester Outbreak Autumn Fest on 27th October, Flatspot Records latest signings Whispers have announced their debut EP. Self-designated as “Bangkok Evilcore” the Thailand based Metallic Hardcore crew cite influences in bands like All Out War and Merauder with a 13th December date set for the arrival of “Yom-Ma-Lok”, a record which thematically addresses realism and human nature through a global perspective. Curiously Jem Siow of Speed, Shaun Alexander of Demonstration Of Power and Stephen Bessac of Kickback all make guest vocal appearances with the record running to seven vicious cuts. Mixed by Andy Nelson at BrickTop Recording (Full Of Hell, Pain Of Truth, Wristmeetrazor) and mastered by Brad Boatright (Twitching Tongues, Iron Monkey, Cult Leader) at Audiosiege that has been preceded by one called “Retribution“.
Vocalist Nitisart “Mike” Chaiburi shares: “The main idea of writing this song came from my own belief that In the end, we cannot escape the consequences of the karma that we have done unjustly to each other. Even if you are big in the sky or have a lot of power, fame, and money, you cannot use those things to wash away your sins or replace the things you have done wrong to the hearts of others. We see this kind of thing continually in every social context without exception because we believe that even though we are just small humans, we have enormous desires. So we look for and want to rely on others for help anyway. In order for these people to not feel alone and discouraged, I have come to spread their frustration.”
