NEWS: Avulsed return to dominate!

After thirty four years of uninterrupted devotion to Death Metal, Spanish legends Avulsed are preparing to unleash their eighth studio album. Vocalist Dave Rotten remains the last man standing from the original line up of the group with drummer Santiago García Arroyo (Buriality, Holycide, Inania Regna), guitarist Alejandro Lobo (Dissonath, Krueger, Misanthropy), bassist Alex Nihil (Pärsec, Sepulcration, Umbraeternum) and second guitarist Victor “Dws” Pastor (Endernity) providing the covering fire. A Release date for “Phoenix Cryptobiosis” has been set by Xtreem Music as 4th March with compact disc, vinyl and digital formats available. Mastered at the MK2 Studio by Davide Billia (Beheaded, Antropofagus, Hour of Penance) and adorned by cover artwork from Ukrainian Daemorph Art (Stabbing, The Black Dahlia Murder, Demonstealer), the first single is “Lacerate to Dominate“…

Dave Rotten: “The title of the album, although it had already been half decided for many years with the word “Cryptobiosis”, has been somewhat prophetic, since cryptobiosis is a state that consists of the suspension of the metabolic processes, in which some living beings enter when environmental conditions become extreme. Avulsed has remained in a state of cryptobiosis for many years and it is now that the ideal conditions have been met for it to re-emerge, as a phoenix, of the beast unleashed in all its splendour, fury and power”.
