NEWS: Forlorn endure “The Wailing”!
After a sold out album release show at The Black Heart in London, Pagan Folk Horror Metal quintet Forlorn will return to the stage on 26th April at Noizzefest in Cardiff. After a building to that monumental crescendo, the band have shared a final music video to accompany the arrival of “Aether” via Church Road Records with “The Wailing” receiving the treatment. As with the rest of the record, produced by Sam Bloor (Graphic Nature, Black Coast, Dream State), its a juxtaposition of ethereal vocals, with chaotic drums and crushing low-level guitars, paired with vocalist Megan Jenkins brutal screams that is otherwise known as expressionist art.
Forlorn vocalist Megan Jenkins shares: “‘The Wailing’ depicts the element of Air as a powerful connecting force which gives us life but is also capable of unimaginable devastation. Conceptually inspired by western horror film ‘The Wind’, the song tells the story of a woman attempting to survive in the harshest of landscapes whilst also trying to outrun her demons.”
