NEWS: Obsidian Skies find salvation in the ocean deep…

Born of the writing partnership that served in Endlight, Colorado Progressive Metal duo Obsidian Skies pick up where they left off with debut EP “Saturnian” with new single “Unmade by the Ocean”, a symphonic journey through a post-apocalyptic underwater world. A complex beast that blends technical and neoclassical elements with intricate melodic solos, it thrives on contrasting dynamics with harsh and clean vocals as well as piano and bass interplay. As if that wasn’t enough, it bodes well for a forthcoming album that the duo are claiming will be unveiled in 2025…

The band comment: “Unmade by the Ocean is heavy-hitting, rhythmic, and technically challenging, while still maintaining a very melodic core. With soaring solos on guitar, bass, and piano, it is a song with a unique and diverse sound. Lyrically, it tells the story of a small group of people who spent the years of Earth’s apocalypse underground, and must now come to terms with their new reality and find hope where there is none.”
