NEWS: Moths announce “Septum” for August!
A visceral journey through the Seven Deadly Sins, with each track embodying a facet of indulgence, obsession, and self-destruction — from the corrosive jealousy of “Envy” to the insatiable hunger of “Gluttony” and the rage of “Wrath”, a new album is on the horizon from Moths. A Doom laden Progressive Metal until hailing from San Juan, Puerto Rico, whose sound is far more varied than that suggests, they’ve set the title as “Septum” and will release it independently on 1st August.
Recorded in just five days at Romaphonic Studios in Buenos Aires, capturing the raw energy and inspiration of the setting, the record is the debut of vocalist Mariel Viruet, whose range spans from haunting melodies to visceral screams. Mixed by Walter Chacón (Los Fabulosos Cadillacs) and mastered by Jens Bogren (Opeth, Katatonia, Between the Buried and Me) at Fascination Street Studios in Sweden and with cover artwork by Jotham Malavé, after two pre-release singles it looks and sounds like it could be the next guilty pleasure.
