NEWS: Fimbul Winter announce “What Once Was”!

Formed by former Amon Amarth members Anders Biazzi, Niko Kaukinen and Fredrik Andersson, together with Clint Williams of Munitions fame, Fimbul Winter carry forward the legacy of Swedish Death Metal with a renewed fire. Their debut EP “What Once Was” is said to embody the band’s vision for a raw, cold and unrelenting of the sound, sharpened by decades of experience, something we will be able to hear for ourselves on 14th November. Ahead of that the four piece, who had Tobias Cristiansson (Necrophobic, Grave, Dismember) providing session bass, have shared a first fierce single in “Mounds of Stones”. Pre-orders are available over at bandcamp.

The band comment: “We’ve poured our passion, energy, and heart into this track. It’s more than just a song, it’s our way of showing the world what we’re capable of, and we can’t wait for people to finally hear it. Mounds of Stones tells the story of a figure shaped by suffering, who turns his pain into vengeance. He isn’t remembered by name, only by the silence and the stones left behind.”
