NEWS: Pryma let the mask slip!

Having survived the post apocalyptic events of Rabidfest a few years back, Canterbury Metal heads Pryma have returned with a music video for a new single titled “Mask“. Recorded live at Romantic Weekender in Carlisle the video which comes complete with audio recorded directly from the mixing desk captures the first performance of the completed track in what that band call it’s release ready state.

The band comment: ““Mask” is a raw and deeply personal reflection on the silent battles we carry every day. It explores the exhausting routine of waking up and putting on a version of yourself that feels acceptable to the world—hiding the weight, the darkness, and the truth beneath a carefully crafted façade. The song dives into the loneliness of feeling unseen and misunderstood, where every “I’m fine” becomes a quiet lie, and every smile masks something heavier underneath. It captures the paradox of the mask itself—how it can feel both suffocating and strangely comforting, a shield that protects your vulnerability while slowly isolating you from being truly known. “Mask” is for anyone who’s ever felt alone in a crowded room, who’s learned to survive by concealing their pain, and who understands that sometimes the hardest thing isn’t facing the world—it’s letting the world see you as you really are.
