NEWS: Destroy My Brain make it five!

There is ambition… and then there is deciding to embark on a five album saga with a concept arc around themes of self‑destruction, trauma and sonic decay. The catastrophic final chapter of that from Canadian Sludge Metal force Destroy My Brain will arrive on 14th August in “WILT“, the four prior albums spelling the word. From that the band are streaming not one but two advanced singles in “OCI (Obsessive Compulsive Imploder)” and “Decontribute” with one more said to be on the way…

Vocalist and guitarist Jarret: “We already picked the titles of the albums so that all the first letters would spell WILT.

We didn’t reinvent anything. We sharpened, hardened, turned it up louder… and put some of the darkest, most meaningful lyrics we have ever done. I got deep inside to a place of furious hate and pain… trauma I caused myself and others… self-destruction, dying, drug/alcohol abuse, and hatred towards others leading to their ultimate ruin. 

“WILT” is Destroy My Brains at their most evolved, most hateful, and most emotionally devastating. We are pleased to degrade and devolve you while you take in our sonic displeasures.”
