NEWS: Destroy My Brains turn up the heat with “Downgrade”!

On 14th August a five album concept arc will reach its bitter conclusion as Canadian Doom fuelled Sludge Metal overlords Destroy My Brains give us “WILT“. That has been preceded by a second single in “Downgrade”, a Punk‑rooted Sludge assault that tells the story of a sadistic manipulator leading a supposed friend into addiction, ruin and overdose. Corrosive tones and emotionally violent lyrics have been a mainstay of what the band have been about, so here’s to more!

Vocalist and guitarist Jarrett: “Downgrade unfolds a story of two people… ultimately ruining their lives on drugs and overdosing. The manipulator claims to be doing this work of ruin for Satan, and believes the Devil himself is working through him. We really wanted something that reminded us of a Misfits song… the song absolutely came together effortlessly and quickly and absolutely is one of our favorite songs on the album”
