NEWS: Pantheist begin their next journey?

Atmospheric Doom Metal masters Pantheist have revealed the full details of their highly anticipated new album ‘Uncanny Times’, a record slated for a 30th October release via Argonauta Records. A continuation of their ongoing exploration of darkness, transcendence and the human condition, it has been preceded by opening cut “The Final Journey”, a thirteen and half minute magnum opus.

Mastermind Kostas Panagiotou: “The Final Journey is the track which set the tone of the whole album in motion. I wrote the music 15 years ago and then shelved it straight away in the hope I would find a vocalist who is worthy of singing it at some point in the future. My prayers were heard with Linda [Dumitru] joining the band about a decade and a half later (you need to be very patient when you play doom metal). Once the lyric was written after a deep philosophical conversation with my friend Ricardo in Panama, the first and most decisive step towards ‘Uncanny Times’ was made with this huge, epic album opener.”
