NEWS: My Ruin premier fierce new single “The Audacity”!

Twelve long years after their last album “The Sacred Mood” landed on Planet Metal, husband and wife partnership My Ruin have returned with fierce single “The Audacity“. It’s the first from a new album titled “Declaration Of Resistance” which is set to be revealed on 16th January via Magick Room Recordings with Tairrie B. Murphy handling lyrics, vocals and cover art while her multi instrumentalist husband Mick Murphy plays guitars, bass and drums as well as engineering, mixing and mastering.

The band comment: “Paying homage to our earliest collaboration—reigniting the flame which sparked the fiery feminist anthem of “Beauty Fiend” back in 2000—this track delivers an unapologetic call to action for women who refuse to be silenced. A visceral, full-circle reclamation of power which confronts entrenched ageism, sexism, and the double standards still weaponized against women in music, politics and culture. Evoking decades of lived experience, with a testament to surviving in an industry that worships youth, punishes maturity, and fears women who speak with conviction. A tribute to every woman who’s fought through the swords of misogyny designed to diminish her with a love letter to resilience and a celebration of getting older, louder, wiser—and impossible to diminish. More than a continuation, it’s an evolution. With time comes wisdom, but rage has no age.”
