NEWS: Erudica escape their chains!

Following the announcement of shows in Portugal, Romania, Hungary and Spain for 2026 with more to come off the back of last years well received debut EP “Master Of Chaos”, Brazilian Melodic Death Metal collective Erudica have confirmed that a debut album has been completed. While the artwork, track listing and release date remain a mystery the title has been set as “Burnt Imperium” with mixing, mastering and co-recording handled by Niko Teixeira (Les Mémoires Fall, Decatexia, Paranoid Existence) at Audiolab Extreme Studio. The tracks also find original members Caroline Ferreira and Patrik Corrêa welcoming welcoming new recruits Dragos Iulian on bass and Micael Sousa on drums both new members appearing in a music video for first single “Resistance Unchained“.

Guitarist Patrik Corrêa comments: “This phase represents a huge step for Erudica. The new lineup is extremely cohesive, and that directly impacted the songwriting process. This new material is one of the strongest, heaviest and most well-structured works we’ve ever done.”

Vocalist Caroline Ferreira adds “Europe has always been a territory we wanted to reach. Arriving there now, with a renewed lineup and so much energy, makes everything even more special. Dragos and Micael brought new ideas, maturity and a very intense creative exchange. The shows will reflect exactly this moment.”
