Bootleg: Dimscûa perform album “Dust Eater” in full!
Fusing Post-Metal with atmospheric Sludge to create beauty and devastation, Dimscûa are on the verge of seeing their debut album “Dust Eater” arriving via Big Scary Monster Records on 20th February. The band have spent no less than four years crafting the record, challenging sorrow and reflection in monumental soundscapes following a series of personal losses and following appearances at both ArcTanGent and Damnation Festivals last year it seems very much like good things come to those who wait. They have captured a breathtaking performance of their critically acclaimed debut album “Dust Eater” at St. Mary Magdalene’s Church in Boveney to share with the world.
The band comment: “It’s really important to capture that organic feeling. We don’t play with a click or a backing track or anything like that. It’s just the five of us playing our instruments. We want those tiny timing variations, the ebb and flow that makes a performance feel real. The music comes from a very raw, very real place and the live show should reflect that. If you start doing too much with clicks and backing tracks it can, for our style of music, feel a little stiff and inauthentic. We use a lot of fog live. Some may say too much. For us it’s about creating that sense of being immersed in the music, for us and for the audience”
Dimscûa recently announced that they will join We Lost The Sea and Overhead, The Albatross on their UK tour this coming May:
22/05 – Nottingham, Rescue Rooms
23/05 – London, Electric Ballroom
24/05 – Manchester, Academy 3
