NEWS: Hegeroth rot in a Polish grave?

Adorned by artwork from Maciej Kamuda (Blut aus Nord, Nunslaughter, Master), the sixth album from Hegeroth is slated for the 25th March. The Polish Black Metal act have continued their sonic evolution, shifting from Symphonic and Melodic Black Metal in their early days, through complex, multi-layered melodic structures intertwined with disharmonies, to expressive, energetic pieces dominated by aggression, speed, and uncompromising expression. Their lyrics mock the mindlessness, dogmatism and meanness resulting from the imposition of a model of right-only thinking, religious oppression and mental backwardness… It’s called “Soaked In Rot“.

Bene comments: “Święte Szlachtowanie (en. Holy Slaughter) is one of three titles on the album with lyrics in Polish. It focuses on the darkness of the late Middle Ages, recounting the brutal conflicts over faith that tore through ancient Europe“.
