NEWS: Kulk channel their grief into “Ache”!

Norwich Doom duo Kulk have been toiling in the basement, writing a follow up to their well received 2024 album “It Gets Worse” and have offered up a small taste of what’s to come in “Ache“. An ode to grief that continues the bands exploration of human suffering, building on the foundations of shows with the likes of Crowbar, Conan and Portrayal of Guilt over the past few years. When the album is ready, Church Road Records, the label home of Forlorn, Mastiff and Armed For Apocalypse to name but a few will be unveiling it…

The band comment: “Ache, is not only for our friend Meg who we lost in 2023, it’s for all of us left behind. This track was the first we had written after she died and has opened our shows for a while now. Ache describes living with grief after years. It’s not the immense pain of the first few days, but it’s ever present and consistent. Like a broken bone that hasn’t healed right, it has changed the way we move, act and think; always there never letting up. It was also an honour to have Hannah Asprey, of the band IAN, perform a devastatingly beautiful cello feature.”
