NEWS: Pâenil Era set the scene!

Forged in the fires of Timisoara, Romania more than a decade ago Pâenil Era represents an anagram of the words ‘Pâlnie Rea’ (or ‘Bad Funnel’). Symbolizing a broken or partly functional filter that takes in a flow of subconscious dark thoughts, it represents an attempt to connect with the subconscious and give a voice to the dark side of the psyche.

Ahead of the release of their upcoming album ‘A Wilting Fountain’, the Post-Black Metal act have shared ‘The Scene’. The record will be released 9th September via Neuronoir.

Erwin Weber comments: “The Scene is a dive into a mind that experiences the world as predatory and fractured. Self-alienation turns into an imaginary persecution, moral posturing and desire for revenge. The song shows how self-disconnection fuels social division, and how victimization leads to avoidance, creating a decadent scene where everyone feels hunted and yearns for violence”
