NEWS: Garrow Hill begin the ritual?

Ahead of the release of their EP “IX” on 31st July York based Alternative Metal duo Garrow Hill have shared a music video for the title track, it’s combination of  stark, unsettling imagery and driving rhythms are said to capture the sense of tension and unease that runs through the veins of the record as a whole. Taking influence from the history and folklore of their home as well as Post-Punk and the darker side of ’90s Metal, the duo warn of the shape of things to come.

Vocalist and guitarist Stewart King: “IX is the sound of the ninth hour arriving—where nine names, nine runes and nine cuts are quietly invoked behind closed doors. It’s a forbidden ceremony happening right now in an ordinary house on a normal street: blood written on the wall, rites completed in silence, something ancient being summoned from the void. The lyrics are a summoning chant that starts in the static and ends in broken defiance. I wanted the vocals to feel like someone still screaming the final words of a ritual they know they should never have begun.”
