NEWS: Sarcator search for oblivion!

The dark, hypnotic and introspective track “In Search Of Oblivion” has been chosen as the next advanced listen from “The Ones We Follow” by Swedish Metal outfit Sarcator. The record, their fourth in all, will be their first with new bassist Linus Edmarker with rumours circling like vultures that their sound as evolved from Extreme Metal in darker and more atmospheric territory. The truth of that will only be known on 30th October when Reigning Phoenix Music begin distribution…

Guitarist and vocalist Mateo Tervonen: “This would be the power-ballad of the record. Guitar work very inspired by Danzig-ballads and drumming and groove by 90s / Bob Rock era Metallica. Some soft passages in this gives it more of a Sisters of Mercy / The Cure type of vibe. The words in this song is there to give the listener a sense of empowerment, like an Arena Rock-song should do. The fun thing about this song is that it’s the only song on the record that was intentionally made to be a pompous and bombastic Metal song, but also the most ”ballad” sounding song simultaneously.”
