NEWS: Strychnos warn of a plague on the horizon…
Dark Descent Records have announced their secret society will be distributing a second album from Copenhagen’s purveyors of ‘accursed death’ Strychnos on 17th May. The follow-up to 2022’s critically acclaimed debut “A Mother’s Curse” promises a second wave of uncompromising Blackened Death Metal and is as such, fittingly titled “Armageddon Patronage“. Fans will note that the eight track affair also features a guest appearance by Michael Poulsen (Volbeat, Dominus) and was recorded and mixed by Lasse Ballade at Copenhagen’s Ballade Studios before being mastered by none other than Necromorbus’ infamous Tore Stjerna. “Winds Warning the Final Storm” is the first for your ear drums to bleed to, pre-orders are available over at bandcamp.
Bassist and vocalist Martin Leth Andersen comments: “This release will showcase a natural continuation of what A Mother’s Curse began. The band seeks to refine and push further key elements from the debut – in ways of both aggressiveness and the more atmospheric parts. This follow-up also showcases an array of new details like alternative instrumentation, vocal variations, intros, outros, and a couple of noticeable guest appearances.”
