NEWS: Werewolves return to the warfields!

Following the success of their album “Die For Us” Australian Death Metal mercenaries Werewolves have announced a box set titled “Encoffined – Worthless Noise For Worthless People” for 21st February via Back On Black / Plastic Head Records. Taking the statement “blastbeats are forever” somewhat literally, the set contains the bands first four releases: debut ‘The Dead Are Screaming‘, acclaimed follow up ‘What A Time To Be Alive‘, ‘From The Cave To The Grave‘, and the up-tempo ‘My Enemies Look And Sound Like Me‘. As a bonus, the set also includes the rare ‘Deathmetal EP‘ which had a limited vinyl release through Direct Merch and includes covers of “Behind the Light Thou Shall Rise” by Deicide and “Christ Raping Black Metal” by Marduk. Pre-orders are available here.

The band comment: We know it would have been more death-metal of us to mark our new pact with Back On Black with blood, but we decided to mark it with a box set instead. Look, we’re not thick. We realise that we’ve released a few decades worth of albums in four years and that everyone only started clambering onto the bandwagon an album or two ago. We forgive you. You are metalheads, therefore likely broke. Back On Black is offering you all an opportunity to catch up with our already heaving back catalogue. We suggest you seize this opportunity with both hands because it’s not going to be long before we hit the ten album mark. Try and catch up with us then, your winters are gonna look like ‘heat, eat, or blastbeat’.”
