NEWS: Across The Swarm swim in rivers of blood!
Continuing the fear campaign around their new album “Invisible Threads”, due out 21st February via Time To Kill Records, Italian death metal force Across The Swarm have premiered a music video for “Red Waters” as their next single. This new record follows their acclaimed 2020 album “Projections” and marks a powerful return that delves deeper into the raw, unfiltered aggression that has earned the band a dedicated following in the Italian metal scene.
The band comment: ““Red Waters” is a dark and visceral premonition, a waking dream that moves between symbolism and cruelty. The track conjures a suspended and unsettling dimension, where nature reveals itself as an impassive and impartial force—a silent witness to suffering and destruction, governed by obscure and unyielding laws.
“Red Waters” takes the listener into an unsettling lucid dream, hovering between the real and the unreal, leaving a sense of anguish and an oppressive anticipation for what is yet to come.
Vocalist Francesco A. Flagiello adds: “We decided to integrate visuals created with artificial intelligence, in collaboration with director and video maker Marco Vivaldi and AI Creator Carlo Moschettoni, to give the track a unique atmosphere: the unreality of dreams combined with that unsettling and imperfect resemblance to reality that only AI can deliver.”
“We wanted to capture the essence of the shadows that dwell within each of us. The composition of ‘Invisible Thread’s was a brutal and visceral process. Every note, every word is an invisible thread connecting these shadows to the reality around us. Additionally, renowned Italian street artist SNEM was fully involved in the creative process, visually translating the album’s concept into artwork that amplifies and reflects both the music and the lyrics. This album is an invitation to confront your innermost self and dive deep, all the way to the bottom”.
