NEWS: Purenvy suffer at the hands of sweet poison?

Underneath a blistering exterior the new single  ‘Sweet Poison‘ from Australian Thrash leaning Metallers Purenvy carries a deeper message as vocalists Adam Kiefel and Josip Malkoč explore the damaging nature of substance abuse. The band are soon to celebrate a decade of domination and are currently finalizing the recording of a new album to follow 2018’s well received “Redemption“.

Drummer Zac Swan comments: “This song originally started as a riff that our guitarist and vocalist Josip brought to a rehearsal session. The lyrics are pretty self-explanatory, we’ve all battled with addiction at some point, and it can be difficult to take the first step toward getting better. Recording the song was a lot of fun. The drums have a lot of different feels, between the straight 4/4 and the more swung 6/8 sections, but also there were a lot of opportunities to try some new techniques with chokes, dynamics, and double kicks”
