NEWS: Vortex enter the final frontier!
Cradle Of Filth mastermind Dani Filth may not be a fan of writing a concept album but has he ever considered an EP? Canadian Orchestrated Blackened Death Metal lovers Vortex have just completed putting the finishing touches to one in “Alien Realms” and if it’s half as good as their last album “The Future Remains In Oblivion” then its going to be a masterpiece. Said to explore humanity’s venture into space in search of intelligent life before making some grizzly discoveries in true Science Fiction Horror style, it will see the cold light of day on 11th April with “When Humans Defy the Void” as the first single…
The band comment: “This song is a melodic assault, blending thrash-driven verses, hyper-melodic choruses, and an epic finale, all immersed in grand, sweeping orchestrations. Bold and daring, humans leave Earth in search of intelligent extra-terrestrial life. This track is divided into three distinct sections: the thrashy, aggressive verses; the ultra-melodic choruses; and the glorious, epic ending.”
Vortex will place a co-headlining tour across Canada with Xaon dubbed “Symphony for the Dead” in April that shapes up as follows:
