NEWS: Tallboy begin sleepwalking from Northern shores!
If you’ve ever watched an episode of My Name Is Earl you’ll know that, during the opening sequences, Jason Lee describes his character as “The shifty-looking guy at the convenience store who buys a packet of smokes, lottery tickets, and a “Tall Boy” early in the morning”. If that didn’t get you checking the internet, the “Tall Boy” is a reference to a large can in which beer (or another drink) is sold, typically holding 16 or 25 US fluid ounces, 475 or 740 ml for everyone else in the world.
We’re making an educated guess that that could be the source from which Northern Alternative Metal crew Tallboy take their name… but we could be wrong. 25th July will see the Cumbrian five piece launch their good ship into the unsuspecting ocean with EP “House of Glass“, a five track affair with some interesting song titles. One of those is “Insomnia“, for which the band, who have a reputation for an unrelenting energetic live show, promise haunting vulnerability and raw emotion combined with intense riffage.
