NEWS: De Profundis prepare us for the rot!
As they reach their 20th anniversary De Profundis have announced a four track concept EP titled “The Gospel Of Rot” for 1st October. Describing the record as “a manifesto against the tyranny of profit over people, where war is currency and the masses are drugged with false hope and blind faith”, it has been mixed and mastered by Matt Jones at Capsaarx Studios (Fury, Vanitas, Dakesis) and includes a cover of the Sepultura classic “Subtraction“. A first taste of what the band have to offer with new vocalist Stefano Bassi and new bassist Simon McAuliffe in the ranks has been unleashed in “I: Corruption“, a track which doubles as the first single. They can thank Pierre-Alain D. of 3mmi Design (Necrodeath, Scar Symmetry, The Crawling) for the artwork too…
The band comment: “A special thank you goes to the University of West London and its staff for allowing us to film on their premises and for supporting us throughout the day.”
