NEWS: Ousted take a moment to reflect?

Featuring in their ranks members of Pulling Teeth, Ruiner, Neolithic and Dosser, Baltimore Hardcore act Ousted have been attracting a lot of attention of late, as they look to strike a balance between urgent and melodious in their sound. Produced, recorded and mixed by Justin Day (End It, Glocca Morra) at New Noise Recording Studio and mastered by Brad Boatright (Kylesa, Vastum, Obituary) at Audiosiege, their next record “How Do You Cope?” is slated for a 19th September via Ashtray Monument Records. Something of a concept record said to address “the overall feeling and reoccurring theme is based a lot around the stages grief. From anger and bitterness, to depression and anxiety” the seven track affair has been preceded by single “Reflections” and also features Justin Smith of Sweat and Dangers on “Sunkissed” and Alex Cha of Pig Destroyer on “Heavy Breather”.

Vocalist Sean Reilly shares: “I wrote this in response to getting older, being closer to death, and the feeling of hanging on for dear life some days. On lieu of all that, it touches on the idea of accepting and rejecting certain inherited aspects of personality and behaviours.”
