NEWS: Bloodtruth breathe fire!

Polish label Selfmadegod Records have announced that they will be distributing a new album titled “Execration” from Italian Technical Death Metal act Bloodtruth on 14th November. Exploring themes related to the Holy Inquisition, the colonization and evangelization of the Americas, the massacres of the indigenous American populations and the persecution of historical figures who, with their science, gave their own lives in the pursuit of a higher knowledge, it sounds like it covers a lot of territory. Mixed and  master by Stefano Morabito (Hideous Divinity, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Hour Of Penance) at 16th Cellar Studio it’s been preceded by “Retribution And Flames“.

The band comment: “Juan Ginés de Sepúlveda was a Spanish humanist and presbyter. In his writings, he argued for the inferiority of the Native Americans and the necessity of conquest to bring the Gospel and civilization to the New World. He defined natives as “humuncoli” inferior to the human race, beasts who fed on the human bodies of victims sacrificed in the name of their idols: The Devil, according to Sepúlveda. In “𝙍𝙚𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙗𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙁𝙡𝙖𝙢𝙚𝙨”, the allegory of the predator eating its prey, expressed with cannibalism, is emphasized. But if before it was the natives who defiled the bodies of the sacrificial victims, who instead exterminated entire populations and in the name of what idol and banner? Who is human and who is the real beast now?”
