NEWS: Deficit enjoy Sega Genesis classic Streets Of Rage?
Set to open for Fit For A King and Boundaries at their exclusive Sydney show in January, Nu-Metalcore home town heroes Deficit have unveiled a music video for new single “Final Boss“. The track is another one cut from their 21st November releasing EP “Deathstyle“, which features guest appearances from members of Unity TX and Life Cycles in amongst six vicious cuts.
The band comment: “”Final Boss” is about perseverance. It’s about channeling the pain of growing up in environments that were suffocating, dysfunctional, and unsafe and transforming that struggle into strength. It’s about the turmoil of trying to rise when everything around you seems built to hold you down, and the defiance it takes to turn those hardships into stepping stones. And it’s about refusing to be defined by the hand you were dealt and instead choosing to forge your own path, and staying focused on what it is you want in life through sheer strength of will. The “Final Boss” is all of that portrayed as one singular foe that you have spent your entire life building and training yourself to overcome.”
“DEATHSTYLE is the very embodiment of Deficit’s sound. “Death” refers to our roots in Metal, Hardcore, Death Metal, and Deathcore, while “Style” captures the groove, catchiness, and swagger that define our identity. It’s the definition of Deficit’s own unique genre.”
