It wasn’t until 1st February, with the album completed, that they announced their new vocalist as James Noakes, formerly of Derby Metalcore quintet Laguna Sunrise,
Southampton Joiners is a sweat box of a venue at the best of times and tonight is no different. Portsmouth’s Sleepwalker [7/10] take the stage and get things started in tech-infused low tuned Metalcore style with frontman Sam Salkeld baiting the crowd (perhaps with that Southampton Portsmouth rivalry thing going on) before joining a circle pit.
Oceans Ate Alaska drummer Chris Turner has been recorded performing a drum playthrough of the bands song “Hansha” from their Fearless Records release “Hikari”. And the final offering from the Hoosier Dome show with Wage War, a pair from Birmingham Tech Metal band Oceans Ate Alaska, courtesy of MoshPitTV. Both songs are from the bands summer released album “Hikari” out via Fearless Records. The album is the first with new vocalist Jake Noakes.
For anyone not in love with their new vocalist, Oceans Ate Alaska have dropped an instrumental version of “Hansha” from their current album “Hikari” which is out now via Fearless Records. The cut is part of Fearless Records “Instrumental Editions” campaign which sees many bands full back catalogue being released in this format.
Having already released a lyric video and a drum playthrough, Fearless Records have released a guitar playthrough for “Covert” from Oceans Ate Alaska. The song comes from the bands recently released album “Hikari”. All we need is a bass playthrough to complete the set.
