The Black Map #142: BruteAllies from Manchester!

Having released a demo of “Invasion” in 2019, Manchester Thrash infused Death Metal quintet BruteAllies were not prepared to comprise when it came to recording their debut album. Vocalist James “Mallah” Bridges was joined by guitarist duo Luke Michniewski and Sonny Fox with a rhythm section of drummer Gabi Tretze and bassist Hassan Alemdar former the band back in 2018, choosing to play the material that they had written together live rather than rush into the studio and commit it to tape. The result of that can be heard on “Ash & Nails” which has the swagger of confidence in the material itself, something that cannot be taken for granted. Recorded at Anthropocide studios with Ivan Panferov (Slaughter To Prevail, Abominable Purity), the quality of the material speaks for itself and earned the band a deal with rising Italian label WormHoleDeath Records and was preceded by singles “Dark Army“, “Battlefield” and “Lost Souls” with lyrical themes of the realities of War running throughout. So if you’re looking for something with some real fire about it, this one is for you.
