As impending doom approaches in the form of “Scar Weaver” from Once Human, they have premiered a new cut in “Erasure“, taking the total number of pre-release cuts to four, a 17 minute EPs worth of Death Metal, from the 11th February drop via Ear Music. Put together over the past two years and held up by guitarist Logan Mader joining Machine Head for their “Burn My Eyes” celebrations, the new cut comes complete with music video here.
“Erasure is a song about blood diamonds. It’s about the clear-cut, horrific message that a rock is worth more than a life to their producers. Although today there are human rights laws and regulations that have eased the violent unearthing of these stones, it is still happening in certain parts of the world. My heart broke as I dove into the meaning of why it’s called a “blood diamond”, and I felt compelled to tell its story.” ~ Lauren Hart
