NEWS: Cancer Bats celebrate Friday Night with Witch Fever!
A fourth single in “Friday Night” has been chosen by Canadian Hardcore Punks Cancer Bats from their new album “Psychic Jailbreak” which has vinyl pressings set for 28th October. Intriguingly the single isn’t the album version of the cut but one that has been revisited with guest vocals from Amy Walpole of Witch Fever.
The music video for the cut was directed by and stars Haley Robinson, who commented: “I really connected with the song because people have bullied me for being a queer Cree-FilipinX person. I’ve been put down for the way I want to live my life. I’ve had to overcome that – sometimes by giving situations a big middle finger. In the video, my character goes out to nature to bring back their power and level up by becoming comfortable in their own skin. This was my first time directing a music video. At first, I didn’t think I was capable of coming up with a whole video concept! I’m used to being in front of the camera. I just started thinking about my own experiences and expressing them was really healing”
