NEWS: Meteora rise on wings of rebellion!

Having spent the past two years composing songs for their third record ’…of Shades and Colours’ which is now set to release early September in 2022 via Hungarian label H-Music (formerly known as Nail Records), Hungarian symphonic metal band Meteora have begun to unveil new material from it with a lyric video for “Wings of Rebellion” being the latest of those burnt offerings. While no track listing has yet been shared, it would appear that the re-recording of the song ’Our Paradise’ released in 2021 with the growls of Jonathan Pellet (Rage of Light, ex-Dysrider) and ’Danse Macabre’ which featured Chris Harms (Lord of the Lost) released earlier this year will make the grade…

Vocalist Noémi Holló comments: “‘Wings of Rebellion’ places intolerable social injustice in the spotlight. It’s about the time when people realise, that together they can make a difference against the systematic problems binding their lives, the unbearable power structure and abuse. The style of the song is closest to power metal, this way we wanted to support the message as well.

As I was writing the vocal melodies I was getting more and more sure, that the chorus should have male vocals. I feel Ati took this challenge absolutely great, and it was the right call to give him a bit more space as a vocalist than he had on our second album, ’Tragedy of Delusion’. The guitar solo is all thanks to our great friend Ádám Kurucz, who musically gave a lot both to this song, and the whole ’…of Shades and Colours’ album.
