NEWS: Varmia premier “Arge”, announce “nie nas widzę”!

Paying tribute to their Baltic pagan roots, Polish Black Metal Pagans Varmia have returned to the black metal fold with an impious mix of traditional, ancient, and dark metallurgy with new single “agre”. It’s the first from a new album “nie nas widzę” (or “I can’t see us“) which is slated for 16th June via M-Theory Audio. For those unfamiliar, the band have made their name by using traditional ethnic instrumentation such as the tagelharpa, goat horn, wood tuba and krivula to create visceral and dark metal landscapes that are both sonically and technically enthralling.

The track ‘agre’ belongs to the Fire Cult part of the record. It’s not an anthemic song like [first single] ‘DAINA 4.’ It’s not an invocation, but rather a description of how the Fire manifests in our lives. How the safe warmth can turn into a scorching flame. Hopefully this also unveils more about the structure of the whole album” describes vocalist and guitarist Lasota.
